Apple replaced Bing with Google for search engine on Siri, iOS Search, and Spotlight on the Mac

Apple has quietly replaced Bing with Google for the default search engine in Siri, the iOS search engine, and Spotlight on the Mac. However, there is a small note here that the results from Google will include: information, web search, YouTube video search; the answers for any inquiries with Siri will come from Google. , and only the image search results in Siri and Spotlight are from Bing Image Search. This transition has been applied.

To explain this, Apple said they wanted to improve the user experience when Safari’s default search engine on iOS and Mac was Google Search. Now the search results returned will be the same on Siri, iOS Search and Spotlight. Google was previously rumored to have paid Apple $3 billion to continue to be the default search engine for iOS.
